Challenge :
Client wanted to create a split testing plug-in (software) for WordPress. WordPress is an open source blog publishing application powered by PHP and MySQL, which can also be used for content management. Client wanted to create this plug-in for increasing of conversion rate by testing the effectiveness of user’s WordPress post and pages.
The main challenge of the site is, we have to develop the plugin at that extent where WordPress is presently holding the position in open source market. It requires great efforts and skills. We have to develop the plug-in in such a way that it does not affect the functionality of WordPress and it should provide an additional tool to increase the conversion rate of user’s WordPress post and pages. It must not be harm to site’s search engine ranking. Through this plug-in user will enable to test and track their sites performance in real-time. We have to develop plug-in as simple as any new person, who has some basic knowledge of WordPress can easily use it..
Solution :
We have developed a plug-in in such a way that it easily incorporates with any WordPress sites. We created plug-in so simple as any WordPress user can work with it through 3 easy steps. User just has to select their control post/page, publish it and then they can create one or as many pages as they want to act as their test(s). After saving of their work they have to paste the code that plug-in generate for them on its “thank you” page/post.
At front every time a new customer comes to user’s website, the program seamlessly loads one of the test versions of their page. If the visitor clicks through the site and makes it to their specified target page (ex. thank you page) then the program counts a conversion. This way, every time they can do a new test and their conversion rate increases and it will automatically benefit from a new higher conversion rate. After just a few weeks of using this plug-in they can increase conversion rate without generating any extra traffic!
